Description

63 years ago, 4 lads from the North of England came together and began to make music which would change the world forever. They were called The Beatles. This book is not about them. Meanwhile, at exactly the same time, in Bensham, Gateshead, 4 completely different lads came together and began to make music which would see them on and o the stage; on and o the television and in and out of mischief for decades. They were called the Tru Tones and this is the story of how a postal strike and a dodgy clapometer robbed them of their chance of stardom.

What a fantastic read by a great local author. Chris really captures the heart and soul of the band, taking you on a journey through their highs and lows. I highly recommend you give this short, funny and heartfelt book a try.
